The Philippines are still under lockdown and life is very tough at the moment.
The government is providing some support but it is not enough and the full amount is not reaching the people who need it most. Some areas and communities are missing out.
We have started an emergency relief fund to be able to assist in a small way with groceries and essential supplies for families who need it most.
Would you consider making a one-off donation to families who desperately need help? You can use the button below to make a direct payment. Please use the reference 'COVID Relief'.
Note that donations are not tax deductible. We use POLI as our payment gateway at no cost to you. You will need a NZ bank account. 100% of your donation will go towards assisting families in need.
sponsor a student
Would you consider sponsoring a student? We have many students waiting for assistance to continue their studies. Sponsorship is an investment into not just the education of a single student but the spiritual and physical well being of their whole family and ultimately their local church community.
Sponsorship begins at just $9.25 / week or $40 / month (NZD)
write to your student
Our students love to hear from their sponsor. Would you take a few minutes to write a letter of encouragement to your sponsored student and their family. Most families are doing it tough right now with lockdown, quarantines, no face to face classes at school and widespread unemployment so some words of encouragement will go a long way.
Tell them about your family, your church family, your hobbies and attach a picture of yourself if you wish.
balante church finally secures their own property
Our God is Faithful!
Pastor Rene writes .....We have been praying for years about having our own property, where we can have our place of worship without limitations set by the land owner. It is our dream to build a multi-purpose building for church functions, livelihood training, student centre and such. We praise the Lord for providing us one!
As of now, we are in the process of making the property fruitful and beautiful, we are planting fruit trees, cleaning up the place and developing it to prepare for building a multi-purpose structure. However, the pandemic is giving us a hard time. We have opted to have our church services online.
