We also provide financial support, prayer and encouragement to selected pastors, church workers and missionaries in the Philippines. These are all local Filipinos who need to raise their own support and often struggle to make ends meet. This distracts heavily on their pastoral and missionary responsibilities so any support is extremely helpful. They typically work in small churches or communities that are unable to provide sufficient support for a full-time pastor or church worker. Here we profile some who are currently seeking support or who we are currently supporting but require further assistance.
As from the beginning of 2022, William Quilay, along with the support of his wife Wilma, will be stepping into a part time pastoring role at Agape along with part time study. William and Wilma are currently looking for supporters as the church is not able to cover 100% of his salary and we at Starfish are not currently able to support them either. They come with our full recommendation and we are very happy to act as the conduit of support.
William has been an elder at Agape for many years and has owned and operated a family printing business. This is a huge change for him and his family and we would love to be able to pass on both prayer and financial support.

Gina with her adopted son Given is a full time worker amongst the poor in a densely populated slum area in Manila. She is a tireless and selfless worker who doesn't have much herself yet gives so much. We are very pleased and privileged to be able to support her to continue the work of the Lord full-time.
She assists families and young people with daily needs, education, sponsorship, discipleship and mentoring along with regular church responsibilities. Sadly her husband Aldrin has passed away.

Pastor Ever pastors a dynamic and growing congregation in a poor, densely populated area of Manila. He has been working here for a number of years and has seen the church established and grow significantly. He is well known and highly respected in the community which is a poor slum area near to a rubbish dump. It is a dangerous area with a lot of drugs, violence and other vices.
We at Starfish, support Pastor Ever and his family to work 4 days a week in the church and community.
